Who runs this site

This website and its house guide are for Casa Esmeralda, a vacation rental, and are run by its host. To ask about your information, use the contact form on the home page.

Your cookie choice

The first time you visit, a banner asks what this site may use. Accept all, Reject all and Customize carry equal weight, and nothing optional runs until you choose. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat that as Reject all and do not show the banner. We keep your choice in your browser for thirteen months, then ask again.

Necessary (always on): showing the pages, booking requests, settings you pick such as language or dark mode, and remembering your cookie choice.
Functional: extra features that rely on outside services. The site has none today.
Analytics: counting visits and which parts of the site and guide are used, plus the questions asked in the guide's help chat so the host can fill gaps in the guide.
Marketing: ad measurement. The site uses none today.

You can change your choice at any time: .

Outside services

Supabase and Vercel: store the site's content and run the site. Every visit to any website reaches its host.
Maps, weather and town search (OpenFreeMap, Open-Meteo, Photon by Komoot): this site fetches them for you from its own server, so those services do not see your browser or your IP address.
Links to Airbnb, VRBO, Google Maps and Instagram take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

What you send us

Messages from the contact form, booking requests, online check-in details, and guestbook entries, feedback and hometown pins you add in the guide are kept so the host can answer you and run your stay.
